une fois la base de « dormant plants » enregis une fois la base de « dormant plants » enregistrée (piano-batterie-basse-voix), on a fait appel à la violoncelliste Sara Oswald pour donner de l’ampleur au morceau. elle est venue une journée au studio Farrago à Crissier. on a réfléchi ensemble aux lignes mélodiques, puis au moment de la prise on a fait passer le son dans un space echo pour lui donner une couleur qui rappelle un synthé. on a gardé sa proposition d’arrangement à deux cellos sur le dernier refrain! 🌱 once the basic track of “dormant plants” was recorded (piano, drums, bass, vocals), we brought in the cellist Sara Oswald to give the song more depth. she came for a day to the Farrago studio in Crissier. Together, we worked out the melodic lines, and when it was time to record, we ran the sound through a Space Echo to give it a tone reminiscent of a synthesizer. we kept her idea of a two-cello arrangement on the final chorus!
