j’ai écrit la bande originale du moyen métrage « SIS », réalisé par Orane Burri, qui vient tout juste de sortir!

c’est une fiction inspirée de faits réels dont le personnage principal vit avec un trouble bipolaire. le besoin presque viscéral d’Orane Burri de parler de ce sujet ainsi que la manière dont elle l’a traité m’ont beaucoup touché.

vous pourrez y découvrir une chanson originale composée exprès pour le film qui s’appelle « Start a Blaze », enregistrée en 2023 avec Fred Bürki à la batterie, ainsi que des variations autour de la chanson « Loner » extraite de l’album « The Very Start ».

le film sera diffusé ce mardi 4 novembre à 23h35 sur RTS 2.

i composed the original soundtrack for the short film “SIS”, directed by Orane Burri, which has just been released!

it’s a fiction inspired by true events, whose main character lives with bipolar disorder. Orane Burri’s almost visceral need to address this topic, as well as the sensitivity with which she approached it, deeply moved me.

you’ll hear an original song written especially for the film, titled “Start a Blaze”, recorded in 2023 with Fred Bürki on drums, along with variations on the song “Loner”, taken from the album “The Very Start.”

the film will air this tuesday, november 4, at 11:35 p.m on RTS 2.

début 2024, j’ai écrit des chansons en redéfinissant mon rapport à ma voix. en parallèle, on a construit un studio fait de matériel de seconde main avec Louis Jucker.

les paroles parlent de transformation, de frontières qui se floutent, de liens entre les êtres. je lisais des anthropologues et des biologistes, j’apprenais à reconnaitre des plantes sauvages, je marchais - et parfois dormais - en forêt.

on a fait les prises de base avec Luc Hess à la batterie, enregistrées et produites avec les micros vintage et les effets analogiques de Louis, puis on les a habillées et mixées nous-mêmes. je crois bien que ma voix n’a jamais été aussi heureuse d’être enregistrée!

early 2024, i wrote songs while redefining my relationship with my voice.
in parallel, we built a studio out of second-hand gear with Louis Jucker.

the lyrics speak of transformation, of blurred boundaries, of the connections between living beings. i was reading anthropologists and biologists, learning to recognize wild plants, walking — and sometimes sleeping — in the forest.

we recorded the basic tracks with Luc Hess on drums, captured and produced with Louis’s vintage microphones and analog effects, then we arranged and mixed them ourselves.

i think my voice has never been so happy to be recorded!
